Why Have a Pre-Shipment Inspection?
By Lucky

Pre-shipment inspections are a very helpful and powerful way to save your time and money. Currently, most payment terms require payment before shipment. In this way, buyers will take some risk regarding the quality and quantity of the to-be-shipped products. You never know what will happen in the factory. For example, have they printed the color box correctly? Have they purchased materials correctly? Will they finish the products on time? Is the quantity right? The contacts in the factories will tell you all sorts of things, but is it the truth?

Things could be worse for some small buyers as big suppliers sometimes don’t respect small buyers at all. Suppliers think that smaller businesses just want to do a one off order and they think that their relationship will not turn out profitable in the long run, so the don’t invest in the relationship. They might use bad material and produce the products to a lower standard. They know you can’t afford an international lawsuit.

Even if you are a big and existing customer of the factory, you don’t know about the current conditions of the factory. Every change in the factory may risk your business. What if the Purchasing Manager leaves, or the Quality Control changes or the workers are not happy with their salary etc. From the outside, these things are not obvious but inside this sort of thing goes on all the time.

Sometimes, you might luck it and your products’ quality is good because there’s another job before or after yours who they want to impress.

So you really need a third party who works for you to make sure everything is under control.

Pre-shipment inspection is just the last part of the quality assurance process, but it is one of the most important parts. With a pre-shipment inspection, you can confirm what you will receive is what you have ordered. And when your supplier knows you have a local inspector working for you and will have a pre-shipment inspection, they will take more care of your goods. Local agents know the tricks and know what to look for.

Finding an inspector and having a pre-shipment inspection is just a small investment but it can make a big difference. At China Sources Hunter Limited it’s all part of the service. So contact us today and start saving tomorrow, without the headaches!

Why I Found CSHL

Dear Friends,

I am Lucky Zhang, the founder of China Sources Hunter Limited. I’ve been working with Chinese factories and companies for years and mainly work as an overseas sourcing agent. During these years I have met and cooperated with different customers from around the world. We source a range of products, from consumer items to heavy industrial components. These customers have included small and medium sized businesses, wholesalers even well known multinationals.

In China, I’ve worked for small trading companies to big manufacturing groups. I have seen many success stories from buyers who sourcing in China and also saw many unsuccessful sourcing deals as well. I see many buyers cheated by Chinese suppliers regardless of how big or small they are. In previous roles, I even saw first hand how suppliers would deliberately cheat the buyers. These experiences have had a big impact on me. I particularly dislike companies bringing products Made-In-China into disrepute. As a result I founded China Sources Hunter Limited. The aim of this company is to help global buyers buy safer, faster, easier and economically.

Currently we provide a variety of services to suit a range of buyers. You can buy from us directly or you can just let us be a part of your buying process such as supplier finding, factory audit, quality control, pre-shipment inspection, shipping management and so on. We welcome customers from anywhere to contact us if you have any question or need any of our services. The initial consultation is free.

Lucky Zhang

Something You Need to Consider When Choosing Your Agent in China
By From Internet

Sourcing Agents and Purchasing Agents can be companies or a single person.

A company is sometimes seen to be more professional and have more credibility. However, this is not always the case. Some small buyers (or buyer starting out) tend to want to find a single person to help their business because afraid of the higher costs associated with dealing with a larger company. There is always the risk of sourcing company’s staff members letting down the buyer.

a) Is he working for your or for kickbacks? It's pretty common for many Chinese agents take kickbacks from YOUR suppliers, at the same time they are charging you a flat fee or percentage based commission. This can add about 5%-15% hidden cost to your total.

b) Does he or she possess the product/industry knowledge you require, for example, glassware?  Working with someone who has the product knowledge saves you headaches later in the process. And, he or she can often find you much better and hopefully less expensive suppliers.

But if you get a company to help you, its not all bad news. Some China Sourcing Agents and Purchasing Agents company offers low commissions for long term development. When you give a target purchasing price, they start to work based on that until you get the qualified products. This is often overlooked by buyers, but is always worth enquiring about.

As costs are going up and up, more and more businesses are looking for an agent in low cost places like China.

So start sourcing from China and get those costs down now!

Three Tips of Why Sourcing from China
By Lucky Zhang
Published: 02.14.2009
Email

1. Sourcing from China can lower your costs significantly.

With one fifth of the world’s population, China is rich in human resources. This precious advantage has enabled China to become the world’s low cost factory.

2. China has a wide variety of products and manufacturing services to choose from.

As the world’s factory, China manufactures for the global market. As a result, you can find any product currently being manufactured and source a Chinese manufacturer to make it for you.

3. Sourcing from China will allow you to compete with your competitors.

To be competitive, you must get the right products at the right cost. But the problem is China is becoming a popular place to source products. So it could be a case of if you can’t beat them, join them.
